Schlangenähnlicher Baum - der Stamm schlängelt sich auch am Boden entlang, nur mit ganz langsamer Geschwindigkeit. Un árbol que es semejante una celubra: serpentea a la tierra, pero es muy despacio.

My mom thinks they're muskrats instead and I agree with her - so this is then the official correction. Rückkehr zu den so genannten 'Biber' - ich war mir gar nicht so sicher mit der Einordnung. Meine Mutti denkt, dass es eine Bisamratte ist und ich stimme ihr dabei zu - das ist also die offizielle Korrektur. Vuelta a los castores llamado - no estuve seguro, pero cuando no ha protestado nadie, no modifiqué nadie. Mi madre creo que lo sean las almizcleras y estoy de acuerdo con ella - esta es la corrección oficial.
Sebastian Hosche > 2006-05-16_09751 Today my first real life snake ever was crossing the path I was driving on in a park next to the zoo. She was about 5 feet long and quickly drawing a crowd. Couldn't get a shot while she was moving as she was fast - then she disappeared into a very little bush and the crowd moved on. I couldn't figure out where she had gone - until I saw that she had gone nowhere, as she had just curled herself up. After a while she decided to take a sunbath (photo) until she disappeared for good by moving on the water of the fishing pond and climbing on a treebranch hanging into the water. That was really cool! I then checked with the zoo, but they weren't missing any green snakes. Does anyone know what kind of snake it is? Die erste Schlange, die ich in Natura gesehen habe, hat heute meinen Weg im Rosental neben dem Zoo gekreuzt. Sie war etwa 1,5 m lang und zog schnell neugierige Passanten an. Während sie sich bewegte, habe ich kein Foto machen können, weil sie zu schnell war - dann verschwand sie in einem kleinen Strauch und die Menschenmenge bewegte sich weiter. Ich hab nicht gesehen wohin sie verschwunden ist, bis ich entdeckte, dass sie sich gar nicht entfernt hat und sich nur zusammengerollt hatte. Nach einer Weile hat sie sich dann entschieden ein Sonnenbad (Foto) zu nehmen, bis sie dann schliesslich wirklich verschwand, indem sie sich übers Wasser des kleinen Angelteichs schlaengelte und auf einen Ast kletterte, der ins Wasser hing. Das war richtig cool! Danach bin ich beim Zoo vorbeigegangen, um nachzufragen, ob sie eine grüne Schlange vermissten, was aber nicht der Fall war. Weiss irgendwer, um was für eine Schlange es sich hierbei handelt? La primera serpiente vi en mi vida - ¿Sabes la especie de esta serpiente verde? Sebastian Hosche > 2006-04-09_09347 Update: Muskrats (no beaver) feastStanding at the Elster river bank wondering what's the deal with the many 'duck food' (bread, apples, carrots etc.) I was completely surprised as a beaver showed up and started eating not even 2m away from me! It got even better - later they showed 3 others up and while not everyone came that close they didn't mind my camera and me at all. That was probably a once in a lifetime chance! A couple more pictures are in my animal gallery Update: Bisamratten (kein Biber) FestbankettNichts ahnend stehe ich am Elsterufer und wundere mich noch über diese Mengen von 'Entenfutter' (Brot, Äpfel, Möhren usw.), die am Ufer liegen, als plötzlich ein Biber angeschwommen kommt und sich anfängt über das Festessen herzumachen - keine 2m von mir entfernt! Damit nicht genug - im Laufe der Zeit sehe ich insgesamt 4 verschiedene Tiere, wenn auch nicht alle aus nächster Nähe. Sie haben sich überhaupt nicht durch meine Kamera und mich stören lassen.
