Der City-Tunnel soll den Hauptbahnhof im Norden mit dem Süden Leipzigs verbinden, damit die Züge nicht mehr um die Stadt herumfahren müssen. More or less at this place the City-Tunnel should come back to the surface south of the Bayerischen Bahnhof. The tunnel is going to connect the Hauptbahnhof in the north with the south of Leipzig so the trains don't have to go around the city anymore
